my currant bf is in a detention center, he says he doesn't want to hold me back by keeping me all to himself, should i date someone else or keep crying, after all i have known him since i was seven

He sounds like a real winner. I think you should wait for him so that when he gets out you can have a normal life together. Think of all the fun things you get to share with him. Like, bailing him out of jail when he screws up again, looking for jobs that hire convicts, deciding what trailor park to rent in. Stuff like that. Go for it, be all that you can be!

I am in the same situation. My bf has been in jail for the past 4months. We are not sure yet but he may have to do another 8months. I love him sooo much and I am not going anywhere. He can tell me he wants me to move on but I won't. So I guess what I'm saying is if you love him than you should stay. Be loyal to your man. Just follow your heart. Ask yourself is he worth waiting for if so those tears from pain and loneliness will turn into tears of joy once he comes home.
Just think about it, don't make decisions too fast. He probably needs you more than ever now.

Get on with your life. He even says he doesn't want to hold you back. There is too much to live for out there. Both of you will have changed by the time he gets out. If your meant to be together it will happen, no matter what. If it's not, you will not have wasted part of your life.

detention center?....another ufamisim for prison? I applaud your boy friend for seeing whatsd best for you, if you allow life to pass you by, years from nopw you will look back an say what happened to the time! if the 2 of you were ment to be together you will be! good luck

Honestly, if it were me, I'd go. I don't want to sound emotionless or mean, but you don't want to be with someone who isn't able to be with you. You may always have feelings for him, but by waiting on him, that denies your chances to move on and grow and meet new people, you know? But I'm sure you already know that =) Best wishes!

if hes in jail hes no good for you , move on , you dont want to be in jail ethier.
