What edible garden produce can I plant now in containers, apart from herbs which I already grow. I know that I have to have good compost and adequate drainage. I have grown cherry tomatoes in an old bin and they were delicious!

tomatoes, peppers , chillies grow well in pots. radishes and spring onions are excellent in pots. im eating home grown radish already . as i pick them i drop a few more seeds in so they are an on-going crop. same with the spring onions but i havent got any big enough yet. ive also got lettuce cucumber and beetroot in pots but i will plant the beetroot outside soon. the taste of home grown veg is out of this world. just try everything. you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain

Most things can be container grown. Just don't crowd the plants too much. I grow my tomatoes in pots. I have also grown radishes and leaf lettuce. Soil conditions and weeds in my area prevent too much "in ground" growing so containers are my best bet.
