Pro-Life are those people who are against abortion. They are FOR the LIFE of the unborn child.
Pro-Choice are those that are in support of abortion. They are FOR the CHOICE of the woman.
Now, someone can make the choice not to abort. But pro-choice wants women to be able to make the choice, not that women have to keep the baby.

Pro-Life says that life begins at conception and anytime an abortion is performed it should be considered murder. Pro-choice takes the stance that it is not a life unless it is capable of self sustained live apart from the mother and believe that the woman should have control whether the medical procedure of aborting a fetus is performed on her body. There are way too many considerations and debatable circumstances to go into here, but the biggest issue is that pro-life and pro-choice both have large lobbyist influence in politics and so they drag out Roe v. Wade, which was the Supreme court ruling that abortion was legal and restrictions and regulation of them was up to the individual states every election or Senate confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Justices or Attorney General or any other proceedings they think may serve as a public forum to keep the issue alive.

Pro-Life means that you disagree with abortion and think it should be illegal.
Pro-Choice means that the woman that is pregnant should have the choice between whether or not she has the baby.
There are some cases where a woman is pregnant and was raped and just didn't want to get pregnant and it wasn't her fault she got pregnant so she doesn't want the baby. Pro-life people think she shouldn't have the choice and she should have the baby and give it up for adoption or raise the baby. Pro-choice people believe that if she doesn't want to go through 9 months of being pregnant, gaining weight, changing hormones, pain, throwing up everyday, swollen feet, hurting back, and going through all of the pain of having a baby she shouldn't have to.
There are some other instances when the person pregnant can't afford the healthcare or any other expenses to properly take care of the baby.
Still other cases where the mother's body can't really hold a baby and by her being pregnant the baby may or may not kill her.
Some people that are too young to be having sex do it and get pregnant and would be a terrible mother. Or they are single and having a baby means they will have to quit work.
You have to decided which you think is right. I think under certain circumstances, abortions are ok, but not others. So i am pro-choice but not in every case.

Pro life should mean just what it states but when asking some people who believe abortion should be illegal they also believe in capital punishment. Never could understand that one. Pro choice basically means that a woman should have the right to choose what she will do if she has an unplanned pregnancy. Abortion is legal. I think this should not be a issue that is legislated but one between a woman and her Dr., it could be a religious decision for some but not all people.

They are both euphemisms for opposite positions on abortion.
Pro-choice people generally believe the decision should be left entirely up to the woman.
Pro-life people generally believe that abortion should be illegal to have or perform.
There are variations and inconsistencies with both positions, but that's the basic.

Yes. it is Pro choice. They should rename the movements to 'pro choice and anti choice'. Those are more realistic and accurate. Afterall, Roe was about not letting the government make those decisions. Overturning it would not get rid of abortion, it would allow the government to make that decision for you...and I believe there would be many many more abortions, if the government could make that decision. Look at China...

Being "Pro-Life" concerning public policy means you are "Anti-Choice". Someone like myself can choose to be Pro-Life personally while maintaining the public stance others should be able to decide for themselves about abortion. That's "Pro-Choice".

it's all semantics dude...just word play because neither side wants to use the word 'abortion' when discussing this issue but i agree, anti-abortion or pro-abortion sure would make it instantly easier to know which side one comes down on...
pro-life = anti-abortion
pro-choice = pro-abortion
see?...isn't that simple?...

Pro-life believes in the rights of the fetus above all else. Pro-choice believes that a woman's rights supercede those of the fetus.
