no the baby tpically turns around the 5 month mark, some wait until the last minute, my second turned while I was in labor, not fun. A baby can even drop down into the cervix area and still not be close to labor. This can happen a month or two before hand. You do not want your baby born at 33 weeks, the complications are tremedous, the lungs don't even develop until the last 3-4 weeks, so if your baby was born now, he or she would have problems breathing and have to probably be on a respirator and stay in the hospital for a while. Just be patient, I know it is hard, but he/she will come when ready. Good luck and congrats

Not necessarily, your baby can change positions quite frequently before you reach full term. When I was 31 wks and 2 days my daughter was breeched, two days later she was head down and a week later she was breeched again. I had a prenatal appt the first week of April and she was breeched still and on April 20th, she was head down finally and I was 34 wks and 4 days then. But of course that may not last so they're going to be sending me in for another ultrasound when I'm 37 wks to see her position. Baby's are still active and doing somersaults at that time. Plus just being head down doesn't me it's time. You also need to drop(lightening), your cervix needs to soften, thin out(efface), and dilate. So it may be awhile still, plus you want your baby to come when she is ready and at at least 37 wks. Good Luck & Congrats!! :-)

Not necessarily....The baby at 29 weeks is probably in a comfy position. But as the due date draws near, the head is down for birth, sometimes they switch position, but not most of the time. Once your due date gets near then, if your baby's head is down you can safely know that the baby is in the right position for birth. Good Luck.

No, My baby has been head down since week 26, I am now 36 weeks and still nothing. If the baby acctually "drops" then you will be closer to labor but not just it being head down.

Not necessarily - my niece was in a "heads down" position for about 7 1/2 weeks before she was born. Your baby also, might shift and turn before actually delivering... who knows what will happen. You will be a mom in a month or so... I would guess!!! Good Luck!

No the baby can move at any time, it just means the baby is getting ready, not that labor is coming necessarily

not necessarily!!! my son was right "there" for most of my last trimester! then of course when it came to labor starting, he ran away!!! baby can change position throughout the whole pregnancy, so position doesn't usually signal labour starting. the last few weeks are the longest of the whole pregnancy. be patient, and hope for a wonderfully healthy baby! congratulations, and good luck!

Not really. It just means your baby is facing that way. It doesn't mean anything more than that.
Your body will tell you when you're ready for labor. Your water will break, you'll feel contractions, etc.
