I am in the Army so I cant have any peircings showing while I am in uniform. I know many people keep their tounge peircings and wear some sort of invisible jewelry while they are in uniform, is there something like that for a nose piercing? I miss my nose piercing I had before I joined.

You can get retainers at your local peircing studio for about $10.

If you don't have your nose peirced already, ask your piercer to use a retainer for initial jewelry. (You can't change the jewelry for at least 10 weeks after you get it)

yes, u can use a retainer to keep the hole open when u don`t have the jewelry in, but u can`t use a retainer immediately after piercing, u must wait until your new piercing has healed completely to switch to the retainer...

My sister got her nose pierced and bought a clear retainer post for when she flew home for thanksgiving break to avoid the wrath of my parents. it worked pretty well, it just looked like she had a little black head on her nose. good luck!
