My friend Raushaun is a Muslim. He lives a completely non-violent lifestyle, observes Muslim dietary laws, works his butt off. When a friend of his roomate stole his rent money, he was very sad, and didn't know how he would pay his rent. But he said if the guy stole the money, the guy probably needed it more than he did.
Raushaun works with my wife at a restaurant. He is a dishwasher, and commutes 20 miles to work there. They pay him very well, because he always shows up, and works harder than everyone else. The other employees, finding out that when he misses his bus, he has to walk home (yes, 20 miles), now arrange for someone to drive him home. When his rent money was stolen, the employees took up a collection (without his knowledge) and replaced it. He cried when they gave him the money.
Now, you might be envisioning Raushaun as a skinny little guy. Raushaun is 6 ft 2 inches tall, weighs about 215 lbs of lean muscle, and plays line backer on a semi-profootball team. He is very scary looking.
When he heard that my son had been threatened, he offered to talk to the person who threatened him, but he made a point of telling us he would not, under any circumstances, do anything to harm that person.
If Raushaun told me to bark like a dog, and I didn't know him, I'd do it. He's a very scary looking guy, but speaks so softly that you can barely hear him. No one has ever heard him get mad.
So, if you want to paint an entire people with the same brush, that's your right. It's your right to be wrong.

I would not describe myself as the person in your last sentence.
I lived all over the Middle East: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Jordan, Dubai, Kuwait, etc. I also lived in North Africa and other places, like Indonesia.
I met many peaceful Muslims.
However, Islamic Fundamentalism and Terrorism have become MOVEMENTS. I am sure you have read Ayaan H. Ali's book Infidel.
While I will agree that Islam does not talk about peace in the same way that Christianity does, and it supports war in the name of religion more, there are Muslims that want peace.
If for no other reason that to save their own lives...
It is a pity that in many places the terror minded individuals hold sway over the rest. The peaceful Muslims are afraid now because there is so much unrest and even people not taking part in the violence may agree with it.
They are just a silent group of people. These men and women fear terrorism more than ourselves because they know any dissent will make them see the brunt of it.

There are plenty of Muslims who are peaceful people but there is an inherent contradiction between the literal translation of the religion they call their own and the way they conduct themselves.
Just like the rest of us don't want to believe unpleasant things, I'm sure they don't either, and like everyone else I'm sure most Muslims were brought up Muslim and I'm sure they've read the Koran about as much as most of us read the Bible - - basically not at all.
Still I think that in some cases it's kind of like how some Nazi party regulars were nice to their neighbors in the 1920s before they took power.
And hey Tangerine - please try to wake up. Yeah, there are peaceful Muslims who don't make the news because they don't bomb people, but don't you ever wonder why that dichotomy exists ONLY in Islam? You'd have a point only if there were a half dozen Hindu, Buddhist and Taoist terror attacks every week that WEREN'T getting reported. But there aren't. Because the founders of those religions weren't mass-murderers and didn't preach genocide, which distinguishes them from Islam.

They say on some of the speak suggests that Liberalism is a intellectual disease and I am opening to suppose it. This is considering the fact that they fail to appreciate that Muslims are NOT peaceable, they usually kill each and every different daily, too. Good success.

Actually, I've met quite a few peaceful Muslims in my day-to-day interactions. Of course, they never become the subjects of news stories, because they don't bomb people. Unfortunately, since it's usually the bad news that gets reported, we mainly hear about the fanatics who engage in terrorist activity.

A Muslim family lives next door to me. They've never been anything but courteous and friendly, they keep their lawn trimmed, they're quiet... I have no reason to think they're anything other than peaceful.
