That's off the top of my head really quick without making this list huge.
Absolutely no nu-metal or whatever the hell other gay-metal there is. No Slipknot who has 10 guys and neither who can play an instrument. No bands where growling replaces melody either.
I'm glad to see there are more metal bands now who have a sense of musicianship and don't just play heavy chords with no leads and no melody.
And to the answerer Malfoy, you're obviously listening to bad metal if you say it gives you more of a headache then that horrible noise called Linkin Park. Try better metal bands like Megadeth or Iron Maiden with better written music. They have good melody and is actually beautiful music.
