You won't know until you see a doctor. If she was really regular before, it's unusual to just skip a period, but not unheard of. On the other hand, if she did conceive, it's probably possible that she may have miscarried, and still be retaining it. The only way to know is to see a doctor.

There are several reasons why a woman would skip a period that have nothing to do with pregnancy - she might be sick, she might have a vitamin deficiency, she might be under a lot of stress, she might just have skipped one for a reason that no doctor will be able to figure out.
If you're seriously worried about a pregnancy, go to a doctor and get blood work done. That's a sure fire way to figure it out. If she's never skipped a period before, go to the doctor and get tests run to see if she's sick in any way or if she's short on vitamin or iron.
Skipping a period now and then isn't a huge deal, but it's probably safest to go get some tests run to make sure she's healthy and that it's not anything serious.

Don't panic. Did she use a form of contraception? Did she ever forget, take the pill late or not use anything? If she did these things...I would be more inclined to be concerned but, not after a blood test. The blood test can tell if you are like 6 or 7 days pregnant so, relax. It is possible to skip a period even while on the pill, and even when you are not on occassion. I don't think the extra stress is helping matters. If she did a blood test then chances are she is not pregnant. Blood tests are rarely ever wrong. If she did a blood test and it was negative then I would quit worrying continue life and wait for next months cycle...if she fails to have a period again then contact your doctor. If she is on birth control pills and never missed taking one, took them the way she was supposed too, my OB?GYN always just said take an at home test if it is negative then don't worry wait for next months cycle..(this was while on oral contraception). Like I said you had a blood test I would relax and not worry.

Has to be something else if the blood test came back neg too...has she been under a lot of stress this can effect ones period being late...then again how long ago was the blood test? May have been too soon to detect but unlikely, there the most accurate.

A lot of things could cause a late period. If she has done blood work and that showed negative more and likely she is not pregnant. I would wait till she is 21/2 to 3 months late to get another blood test. But until then it could be b/c of stress, change in diet, if she is working out more, lack of sleep, there are tons of reasons why a lady could be late. Our you two trying to have a baby? Is she normally regular?
But with blood work that's more and likely right.

Blood & urine tests look for the presence of the HCG hormone.
(a hormone produced by the placenta)
You have to wait at least 6-14 days before a so called early prediction test will provide any accurate results.
Blood: 6-8 days
Urine: ~14 days
Strenuous exercise can stop the menstrual cycle as can improper diet and some medications.
Don't panic - make a doctors appointment.

If she has done home pregnancy tests, and had a blood test, and all said negative, then she really can't be pregnant.
She really needs to see her doctor, to find out why she has missed a period.

It could be a lot of things. Although pregnancy usually is the main cause for a missed period, there are other reasons it could not be coming. Has she gained or lost a lot of weight recently? Have you recently moved, has she started a job, or have you recently had a major fight? Weight fluctuation and stress are two reasons a woman's period sometimes doesn't show up. It could also be an indication of a somewhat serious medical condition, so have her visit a gynecologist right away.

If she is stressing out about the possibility of being pregnant it can keep her period from coming. I speak from experience. But the safest bet would be to go to her doctor and get a test done there. He/she will be able to answer all questions. Good luck.
