It's works with people who don't come on here usually, but hopefully the "regulars" don't by into that crap.

I think that might depend on the asker cuz some askers do like to ask questions simply to be agreed with...but just from my personal point of view, when i ask a question, i truely ask with the intent of just wanting to know the answers and various opinions that people have on that topic, i find it interesting and thought-provoking to read answers from many different perspectives....and as for when i answer, im just always honest and i try to help out as much as i can. Thats all, nothing more. :)

Not only here but in all discussions, if an answerer gives an answer just to please the asker or the audience and to get applause, this answerer is definitely a jerk.
In this forum, I , personally, enjoy the communication. Of course, it is a good thing to see that the asker and some answerers agree with your opinion and you either get 1opts. or thumbs up - but this is just a pleasant moment as would happen in a real conversation and nothing else.
If I want to score, I go for bowling.

I'm just my smart ***ed self...if it agrees with the asker...fine, if not...fine....
Sometimes I get the best answer because I put a little levity and thought into it...sometimes just because the Asker wanted too...
I don't "try" to tell the asker what they want to hear, sometimes I tell them the exact opposit....have to be honest...

I think this may be true. However, it's much more fun and interesting to answer (and READ answers) that are honest. I usually give "best answers" to people who agree with me about music, though. Or politics. Or religion. Hahaha. The longest answers maybe more HELPFUL when a full explanation is required but MOST of the time I ask opinion-oriented questions.

I personally don't care about agreeing just for getting those ten points. I tell the asker my opinion. If they don't like it, they shouldn't have asked for it.

I don't. Often an asker will be surprised with an alternate answer and appreciate it.

Don't know so much about Y!A, but I hate it when friends or family do that. If you think I'm at fault or I'm being completely irrational, than don't feed the illusion...set me straight! Excusie...sensitive issue.
Although, I never pick the answerers who try to flatter my avatar. She's a cutie and all, but come on...stick to question buddy!
