Because the media tells them to.

If the story "The Emperor's New Clothes" were written today, I have a feeling it would end with the little boy being run out of town.

I don't think all Gore uses good science in his movie, but that does not make the message wrong. Just because we do not understand all the processes in evolution, it does not make it false. Because we have not detected the Higg's boson, it does not invalidate all of quantum mechanics. Just because we have not directly detected dark matter, it does not mean we should throw relativity out the window.

Just because Al Gore is trying to sell a movie, it does not mean global warming is not man made.

Your question is based on a faulty premise. Al Gore bases his presentation on the findings of the majority of scientists in the field. The opposition refutes these findings with very little independent credible scientific evidence.

The opinion piece that you cited is an attack on Al Gore himself and not on the scientific data supporting global warming.

The fact is, humans have been destroying the environment for decades.

It is a growing problem, and needs to be dealt with.

Turning it into politics is just plain ignorant.

F**k Al Gore, wake up and see what is going on.

It is quite hypocritical for a nazineocon to tout science as the truth but teach creationism over science. Make up your freaking mind, are scientist right or not....or just when it suits the republican agenda?

The use of the term "science" denotes proof. And since global warming is a theory only... completely unprovable one way or the other... I'd question your science "proving" that Al Gore is wrong.

Please... enlighten us with the studies you apparently have access to which were performed by scientists who have been alive since the Big Bang.

Scientists say that Gore lied when he said that the ocean would rise 20 feet in 100 years.

They say that will NEVER happen.

Because global warming is more a religion than a science.
