I think men can still be men, but surely there's nothing wrong with having a feminine side. I love to dress as a woman, have few chances but there's nothing I would like more to do. For the open minded amongst you, I welcome your answers. Thanks!

YES!! Look at actor comedian Eddie Izzard. He is an actor on the show "The Riches" but is an open cross-dresser.
The times change to accommodate those who live amongst them.

Well the thing is you cant eradicate it , if you think about it gender markers change with each culture what is thought tombe feminie is accetable in another culture that men do it .
Its all about pieces of amterial isntit and the value judgements we put on them a feminine material; amasculine material etc.
I think all this came about with the Indusrial revolution when the peacocks shrank back and Mr Grey suit took over .
I would have thought with the like of Liily Savage would have lossened things up a a bit unfortuanatelythe women get a bit bitter when the transvestirtes look more glamourous than they do , thats because their more in touch withtheir feminine side than the womenare try ing to be ladettes
It has long been posioted that a woman dreessing in a masculine fashion does not drop as many social points as a man dresing in a feminine fashion tahs because for a man to dress as a won lowers his social status

No, I don't think so. I think it is innately important for people to be able to identify the gender of the people around them. Perhaps, if people progress in their thinking ( I am not too optimistic here.) then a "third" sort of clothing style will evolve that will indeed help men express their feminine side.

Really though, what do you mean by "cross-dressing".? Perhaps, it could be a breakthrough if people would just stop using the term cross-dressing. People then would either be dressed or undressed. If a guy wants to dress as a woman then why not?

Maybe a good designer will be able to make clothing that is a good compromise. Something that will allow us all to be more free in our thinking. I hope so.

Yes i have no doubt that in the future it will be accepted it may not ever be condidered the norm but you only have to look at how far the attitudes towards gays and lesbians have changed over the last few years, almost everyone these days knows someone who is openly gay and in general they have been accepted as part of every day society.
I an sure it will be a good few years before men are openly dressing but it is coming

I really hope so soon. Women have the luxury to wearing men's fashions, but men cannot enjoy wearing woman's wear.

too many men have been forced into the closet by society only because they enjoy feeling the hem of a skirt on their legs, or the tightness of a bra, or... Society has labeled Crossdressers as pervs and mental cases, but it has been proven that is not the case. Society still needs loads of education on the fact that there in nothing wrong with crossdressing.

I can go on and on about this for it is a subject that I am passionate about. But to cut it to the quick,. again, I hope is becomes acceptable soon.

it will take time but eventually we will be able to go where ever we want when ever and not be hassled for wearing a skirt or dress,One thing that we need to do immediatly ,is to stop hiding and come out and show the world what we are,the more crossdressers go out in public the easier it will become for everyone. And you know when you are outside one sunny day in your skirt and all you might have someone get brave enough to ask a few questions. We arent accepted because not everybody knows about crossdressing (my first girlfriend had never seen or even heard of a crossdresser)and when we answer questions we educate the public which will speed up everything

Yes and no.. Someday, I believe that cross dressers will be able to dress in drag without getting kicked, beat, and spat upon. While I believe it will be more tolerated, I don't believe that society will ever be accepted.

Society believes that it is healthy for boys to want to be boys and for girls to want to be girls. If a boy is not happy being a boy then that's sad. All this is quite a natural response on the part of society.

Most crossdressers feel a need to crossdress. It takes on an addiction pattern. Addictions and anything the resembles an addiction is not welcome in society.

No.

Crossdressing will never be accepted by the main stream of society because there are too many men out there who have the slightest tranny desire but who are utterly terrified of those emotions and feelings, so they stamp on anything that might remind them of the fact, they might be a bit girly too.
Sadly they bring thier kids up the same way.... Blue for boys, with football guns and cars, pink for girls with ponies, dollies and dressing up as a princess. They force thier son's to be "tiger !" and thier daughters to be "little princess" ! it makes them feel safe, and normal.

Any deviation, becomes abnormal, and then... stamped on.

It's sad isnt it ?

I certainly don't have a problem with it. It's hard sometimes to appreciate just how far bristish society has moved on in the last 20 years we are much more tolerant as a whole it's just that the bigots make more noise. It is your life to do with as you wish and if you like cross dressing then you should go for it.

I hope so. I think people should be able to choose what to wear. If it looks good, wear it! Men should be able to enjoy picking out makeup and wearing it like us women do. When women first started wearing trousers everyone was outraged, but now it's totally acceptable! Go for it I say.
