My success is measured against the objectives that were set in the goal definition phase.

No. I measure my success by my goals I set before attempting it. And if I measure up, I am successful, otherwise I get depressed and jump off a cliff.

No, albeit there were times when certain disciplines were in order, but for the most part my success derived from hard work, good planning, and keeping my nose the grind stone...
