If Bush would listen to the military over there, doing the actual fighting, he would get a first hand account of what kind of success our troops are accomplishing over there and make a judgment from that, but he's too stubborn to do that, even the President of Iraq is stopping the military from doing what he thinks is needed,( the wall the military were building), and the Generals over there only have one person to answer to and that is Bush. So if we all here can see what is going on over there, why can't Bush. He won't listen to his soldiers and he won't listen to the people who elected him or the people he represents. He did the job that he set out to do, remove Saddam from power, but now it's not our fight. Yes, he wants the Iraqi's to live in peace and have freedom but that's for the Iraqi's to fight just as we fought for our own freedom. No, I don't think Bush is viewing this realistically at all, he needs to listen more and be more open minded to other suggestions because what he's doing is NOT working.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Regardless of what party Harry Reid is from, he is correct. Bush has not looked at this thing realistically. Al Maliki stopped the US troops from going after Al Sadr's militia, the Iraq govt has done absolutely nothing on oil revenue sharing, planning June provincial elections, political reconciliation, militia control, full army control. All they do is sit on their collective a*ses while our soldiers continue to take the hits. Harry Reid description is apt but someone else, said it best. Lee Iaccoca in his new book " Where have all the Leaders Gone".
First Chapter first page
" Am I the only guy in the country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage?" We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos running our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course" Stay the course? " You've got to be kidding. This is America not the damn Titanic."

Reid backtracked on his "The Iraq war is lost" defeatist statement and said "The military mission has long since been accomplished. The failure has been political. It has been policy. It has been presidential."

So what is is saying is that he disagrees with the politics and the way President Bush is handling the reconstruction phase of Iraq.

He is hoping and praying Bush is not able to bring peace to this country so he can say "see, I told you so."

Basically, Reid supports the terrorist agenda.

Bush and his loyal Bushies are all in denial of not winning their war in Iraq. It is as if they have been hypnotized to not have anything in their brain but 'staying the course' with a little variation, with no idea as to how their war will be won.

In fact, I HOPE thats the case. I can't imagine what kind of heart or mind of a good President that could look at the whole war situation - from the start to present - and be proud of his part in it. If he's in denial, it just means that he is afraid to face the fact that he could be wrong...and that - at least - is a step in the right direction.

Yes. Bush refuses to listen to anyone about the course and direction he has committed this country and it's troops. Any advice he has gotten has been ignored if it doesn't match what he has already decided he was going to do.

YES, he's the only one not looking for votes, He knows the generals and listens to them over the commie news network,CNN. Most of the Dem's backed this war until the polls changed, The effort hasn't changed ,neither has the mission, Just the polls witch the left gives too much reliance on. Or at least lip service to.
