Bush's ego will never allow him to listen fully to the democrats. He has a "My Way or the highway" approach to every single thing he has done since taking office back in 2001.

Of course you are forgetting the record number of signing statements by Bush. He does not veto a bill, he just uses the signing statement to say which part of the law he plans to ignore.
