yes that is a right time for their retirement. because they are a good player. and one chance should give him and that chance has gone that was world cup. and now i think that they can't do better for india. now that should be do that new player will become and take place of old player. that wil be the chance to win india in 2011.

No, I dont think so.
Do u really think, that sachin, the worlds best batsman, who have done so much for indian cricket for playing more than 16 years for his country should retire in this way?? This way he will be proved a big looser!!!
I also agree, sachin isnt playin his best cricket for more than a year or so. He has always let us down on big matches. But still he is the worlds best batsman. If you combine both his test and one day record you will see thats one of the impossible things to do for any batsman.
Whenever these big players retire, they shouldnt retire in a way that they dont look like a loosers. Time will come, but retiring rite now is not the right idea.

Maybe Ganguly could retire but with his balance of batting and reliance of the team TENDULKAR surely has a couple of years to go.Without Sachin the team will be like a ship without an ANCHOR

they both can play and there is no doubt in their talent but A player can not play to his best always and i think its a proper time for sachin ! and for Ganguly i would say he is still form........but sachin has lost his form these days.....and taking too long to recover and thats something strange for me ! he can retire but not Ganguly !! Indian team can not efford to lose such great talents at a time !!

I think its time they should realize the truth and call it a day. But we don't understand the need of time easily and unless disgraced and defamed we don't want to go. I hope these two great players will try to understand the writing on the wall and will leave with honor and grace.

For the betterment of Indian cricket, Dravid should retire first. He is the culprit, under whose captaincy "Team India" has lost their all glory and fame.

It is upto them to decide when to retire. If they have confidence to perform well they will continue. Otherwise they will take decision about retirement at the time they consider most appropriate.

No I don't think so.........Most people think they can't play well. I agree that they had poor performance in the world cup. But if you look back and remeber India was in the final in 2003. Don't you guys see match against Bermuda. That was record 413 runs in the world cup.
