10% is the standard for hazmat cleanup. Getting mold and bacteria out of the basement is a tougher deal than just spraying bleach around though. You'll need to dry out the place first or the mold will just come back.

This happened to us last spring during a storm the power went out and our sump pump didn't work. I just took a regular spray bottle, I think it holds a quart and I put half bleach half water, and it worked. I sprayed all around the whole perimeter of the basement, we have base board heater down there so I sprayed under the heater and then we bought a dehumidifier and its fine now.

I'm pretty sure is is 1 cup to a gallon for mold, but only 1 tablespoon to a gallon to sanitize.

you can go straight bleach but please make sure you have ventilation.where a mask if posible it's going to be ruff and make sure you have another person with you.and why add water when your trying to get rid of it you can pick up a pump bottle sprayer at wal mart for 9.89 1 gal bottles.after you do this open all window and put some fans on it will dry faster

I would go with a cup per gallon of water. I would want to know that mold and germs are dead for good.
