Don't give me any "You are a racist" crap. No I am not, and I am not white, so don't jump to any conclusions...Just tell me what you think. Thank you.

Since you asked, I'll tell you what I think. As long as any race has an advocate...based solely upon their race...we will NEVER see the end of racism and discrimination. It continues to progress the notion of 'us' and 'them'. Al Sharpton does far more damage than good for the African Americans and the United States. He promotes racism in his own way...all under the guise of being a Reverend. Shameful.

And, being white...I would be ashamed of anyone who was so obviously 'pro white'. This is a time when everyone is supposed to be equal - so why does one side need an obvious advocate?

The white people, as you put it, don't need an Al Sharpton. And if anyone tried, they would be called racist. For some reason, he feels the white people owe him and his people something. He is a racist himself. He jumped on the bandwagon of the bad white boys at Duke and the bad white radio shock jock, but he jumps to the defense of black people doing wrong. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Al Sharpton ran for President in 2004 and participated in the debates. He has views on many issues other than race.

I AM white, and I don't WANT an Al Sharpton to come to my defense. I am perfectly capable of defending myself and don't need a racist like Al Sharpton to speak for me.

It's time for people to be strong and stop relying on "spokespeople" to tell their stories.

White parents (a lot of them - not all) where I was raised taught their children to judge a man by his merit not by his skin color. White families have been doing this for generations. Black families (a lot of them - not all) still teach their kids that it is the man holding us down, it is the mans fault....
This is why blacks have Al, he feeds on the miserable mindset of those stuck in the past. He keeps racism alive and well by exploiting less educated blacks.
The white people do not want a pompous, hypocritical windbag like that representing them.

I think that, based on what my african american friends think, that they too think sharpton is a loud mouthed idiot and they don't support him either or want him speaking for them, so with that in mind, this white person doesn't want an Al sharpton speaking for me. JMO

When white people turn black.

I am black myself and I am ashamed of the way Al Sharpton acts. And it sickens me more that many people (both black and white) thinks that this fool is our leader.

**NEWSFLASH** He is only the leader to those that actually follow him!

He only divides the races, not brings them together. He touts equal rights but want whites to have less.

Can't we all just be truly EQUAL??? No special treatment for anybody!!!
