Why is it that the goverment is capable of coming up with the money to build a shopping mall, but yet when the event like Virgina tech arises, they seem to not come up with the money fast enough to better school security? Same thing with the border. Where's that money? I've seen them come up with money faster to build a strip club.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe shopping malls are built through private enterprise?

It's not really so much that the money is a problem. It's the attention and willingness to do a "boring" job. The owners of that university were not paying attention when they let in that psycho that killed 32 students and didn't send out any warnings. Also. It's not the government that biulds the stripclubs and the shopping malls. Rich millionaires are the ones who build those, not the government.
It's the job of the Homeland Security to protect the country, even from itself, but, unless you've seen the lengthy and twisted road that something as small as one sentance has to take (like "Send more gaurds to the colleges." for example) you'd see that it is near impossible for the Office of Homeland Security to function. We need a major change in that area. If we ever get attacked again, they will be the last ones to react (unless they were the ones who were attacked, if that happens, they'd problem all bundle up in the corner and cry instead of doing their job, which is to protect others, not themselves).
We did that Theodore Roosevelt told us not to do - live softly. Everybody's lazier.
Great leaders, the Bible, and other people and documents have said "There so no 'safety first' for yourself if you are the gaurdian. Yet, a cop won't charge into a building to stop a maniac with machine guns killing more and more by the second because he's AFRAID of getting shot!!!

I don't know if you've noticed, but there's a war going on and it's taking everything we have, plus some, to finance it. Another problem with this country is that we let big businesses take their operations outside the country and operate in poor countries so they pay less wages, then bring their products back to the US and sell them for huge profit margins to make more money. It is crippling the economy of the US and no one seems to care. Before long, there won't be any reason for people to want to sneak across the border because there won't be any jobs to come over here to steal from the citizens of the USA!

I dont think the government is coming up with money to build a shopping mall or a strip club. I think that the money is coming from investors not the government.

What country to you live in because the goverment does not build shoping malls and strip clubs. Not to downgrade what happed at Virgina Tech but it is up to the SCHOOL to employ better security and even if they did unless they have officers in every room in every dorm in every class in every restroom it would not have prevented what happend.

The government has nothing to do with shopping malls, and campus security. Good try though!!!
If any body should be to blame for the campus shootings is the Dean of the college, and their security force.

okay i have never seen or heard of a government building or owning a shopping mall. Take it from me i grew up at the mall.
