Anyone know if the victims families are receiving a refund on their child's tuitions. I hate to say it but there must be a few families that have some big loans to pay off.

Do you think they should get a refund and a diploma? Or one or the other.

It was announced that the victims will receive their diploma's posthum. As far as a refund goes, I don't think the parents are going to ask for a tuition refund, but I would bet there will be some wrongful death claims made against the university and administration. With the evidence of people reporting his behavior, I would bet there is going to be some litigation that will end up in money for the families.

Yes-they are Hokies and they should get a diploma that the family can have as an honor to them. And while it seems morbid to say-if you pass away your student loan is dismissed as long as you don't do something like combine it with a spouse's loan or fold it into a mortgage payment.

For anyone who would really like to help-there is a legit VT fund now for the families and those affected by this. You can get more info at the Tech website.

I have been given common on the thirty first and 6 days later i've got been given a DD of right this moment 2/8. The WMR gadget is so no longer a hundred% precise. many human beings have their refund already and it continues to be asserting processing. greater beneficial than probably consistent with others I even have considered u will probably get it no later than Tuesday. you could continuously call an see how effective the IR is being. good success!

Giving a diploma to those who passed is too little
to honor the students who passed away due to
being murdered. Since this was the worst school
shooting in the history of the U.S. as they say then
a mermorial should be built to remember those
who died. This would show a little more caring
from the University where the students were killed.
It's too bad that a student in order to graduate has
to die for his/her diploma and it just should not be.

At this particular moment, I doubt any of the parent's of the victims of the VT incident are thinking about tuition refunds. Odd that you are. You seem to need something with which to occupy your time.
