no, as speaker of the house, pelosi did nothing 'illegal' for which she could suffer a penalty...however, i believe she went to syria in direct opposition to the wishes of both the president and the state dept. to do nothing more than embarrass them and for that, she should be officially admonished if not impeached.

No. There has been one prosecution since the Logan Act was passed in 1799 and that case was dismissed when the Alien and Sedition Act was declared unConstitutional. Besides, she's Speaker of the House, 3rd in line for the Presidency, and is not speaking "without authority." Even Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose were not charged under the Logan Act. I understand you don't like Pelosi, but that doesn't make her a criminal and don't you get the Logan Act is NEVER used. You conservatives have been on this kick for weeks now. After doing a bit of Studying on History of American Politics
one thing that struck me was that George Washington
was the only President listed as belonging to 'No Party'.
The next John Adams was a Federalist. 4 after that Jefferson/Madison/Monroe/John Quincy Adams are
classified as Democratic- Republican.
Not a bad collection of Presidents don't you think.
Could there be a message in there somewhere ?.
Personally I think it would not be a bad Idea to empty
the White House, Congress and House of Representatives
Drag the whole lot out on to the street and shoot them.
( For gross hypocrisy, and pretending to serve the people )
Declare both political parties illegal, impound their funds
and immediately outlaw lobby-ism and pork projects.
And then start with a clean slate, in the spirit of these first 6
presidents mentioned above.

No. She and the republicans who were with her aren't private citizens they are elected representatives of the US Congress, and have that authority. The constitution does not say that the executive branch is the sole executor of foreign policy, senators and congressional reps have been visiting foreign countrys and meeting their leaders for 200 years and none have been prosecuted under the Logan Act that I know of.

You are aware that GOP Rep. Joe Pitts also visited Syria BEFORE Pelosi went there right? Or did you not know about this?

I am absolutely sure she did not. If she had, GWB would have taken action against her by now; in fact, she'd probably be in Gitmo right now.

Does anyone think that GWB commited a felony? DON'T START A WAR WITH A COUNTRY THAT CAN'T DEFEND ITSELF.

Nope.

But if she did, so did all the REPUBLICAN congressmen who went on the trip with her.
