One is the Lucas reagent, which is a solution of ZnCl2 in concentrated HCl. The secondary alcohol will react faster to produce a cloudy solution, indicating the reaction R-OH + HCl/ZnCl2 ===> R-Cl + H2O. The cloudiness is because of the immiscibility of R-Cl in water solutions.

Add ZnCl2/HCl, then the secondary alcohol will give a turbid solution quicker than the primary alcohol
