The routing table is a table maintained in routers so that they can send the packets to the proper destination. All routers in their Autonomous system (AS) or area are known by the other routers so that they have a "network map" when they need to forward packets. When a destination is not known, there commonly is a routing entry in the table that's called the "Default route" that the router can forward the packet to that knows more specific information about how to get the packet to its destination, such as an ISP router. The default route is used to decrease the size of the routing table so that the router doesn't have to use a lot of memory to know where the destination is. Once passed to the default router, it's the responsibility of that router to get the packet closer to its destination. ISP routers or Internet routers have a much larger routing table, so they known what network to forward the packet to.

What's the question?? Routing tables are maintained by routers so they know which interface to send packets to. Beyond that I can't say much without a specific question.
