I find that really frustrating. There was one question that I took time and effort on to really answer thoroughly explaining why there can't be "love at first sight" partly because that's not the nature of what love is, and everyone else except one person also said about the same thing. Who's answer did she pick? The one she wanted to hear. A really retarded answer. She just wanted someone to agree with her, she wasn't really looking for an answer.
As to why the most common answer is "DUMP HIM!" I think that has to do with a pretty common mindset that has been developing a la books like "The Rules" and "He's Not that Into You". It's making relationships between men and women more about games and trying to get the upper hand, keep from getting hurt or used instead of talking to each other, developing friendships and learning about each other as PEOPLE instead of some enemy race from another planet. I find all the game-playing and stupid rules like "wait at least such and such days before returning a phone call" complete idiocy. But it seems more and more people are going by them, and if you break any of these new commandments that's a "red flag" and means something bad. It's all really stupid.

The same reason you did.. lol Most people like to hear what other people have been through so they know they are not alone. They may know what to do but may not know how to do it. If the person doesn't like the most logical answer then they aren't really posting a questions for an answer, it is more because they want someone to agree with them. When you post a question, no matter how dumb, there are always atleast 5 answers and atleast one of those answers are what they want to hear. Some people ask questions to actually get an answer lol They may be so confused or misled about a siutation that they forget what the logical solution would be. I asked a question about pregnancy and I already have two children, I pretty much already know every possible feeling to every possible solution. But when I asked I mainly hope that medical personell answer because they are that kind of question. I like to hear what other women have been through too that way I know I am not alone.
It is funny that "dump him/her" always is an answer isn't it. lol That is because most of the time the person doesn't care because it isn't their relationship. Another reason could be most of the questions on here do not explain the good times and the memorable times, it just explains the problem. So if you were to read a question like: " My boyfriend cheated on me what should I do?" You really can't tell what to do. The logical thing would be to "dump him he is such a dog", but the whole time she may have also cheated on him, that is why she is asking what to do. But of course she dont put that part lol And vis a versa for guys also. Some of the time people just want closure. Being in relationship problems or life problems can get hard, and having someone that actually cares enough to answer with an accurate response makes some people feel like the question is reasonable.
~~ Just my outlook on it :) ~~

What may seem like a stupid question to you may be rocket science to the next. Seriously common sense is not that common anymore. Some ask for validation, sympahty, and some just to be stupid. most know they answers and really want some insight on their situation. They may know dumping him is the right thing to do but need to know how not to let him/her come back

And the most common answer " DUMP HIM " is because there are more woman on here I use " DUMP HER " because I'm a guy .Its more like" MAN VERSES WOMAN "

may be some people ask question even knowing the answer to confirm her or his thinking or to have more confident on his or her decision.....
why not they follow the logical one---some times, heart doesnt want to follow the logics.....
and, about "dump him" type answers...for most of the ppl, a relationship is nothing but for a time being's fun....sex and enjoyment....so, how early they can get rid off it, thats better for them...they can then taste some thing new...
but, for persons like me.....we never advice to leave...i always advice to have patience and try to the last stage...coz, for me...a relationship means so deeper things....its not easy that u can break it in one day...

Although some people do know the answers to their own questions some need that extra confidence from others opinions to give them that push into doing what they feel may or may not be the right thing to do. And what better place to come than here where you can hear plenty of different peoples opinions from all over the world.

Some ppl will ask questions on here , they truely don't know and are looking for other responses to see what feels right for them.
I guess alot of the common answers of "dump him" refer to the ones where the guy is mistreating the girl he's with ...I try to answer the questions the best I can..ppl can take it with a grain of salt or take it to heart. KEEP ON SMILIN*

You just asked the same type of question you are complaining about.
People need validation. When you are close to a problem, it is good to see another perspective from the outside.
The "dump him" answers are from people that have been hurt in the past or never had a serious relationship.

Most people just want "validation". They know that the correct answer is to "dump him/her", but think that by asking 100 people and getting the same answer, it will make their decision less stressful, or if it goes badly, then they can blame someone else.
