The key is '*terribly* important'. But that alone will not lead to nervous breakdown. IMHO, it has more to do with a combination of circumstances which prevents the person from escaping this feeling.

No, and doesn't everyone see their work as important in some way, even if its just important that they have work to keep food on the table. My job IS important. and my other job as a mother IS important.
Does this mean I'm headed for a breakdown?
