What is a more important natural resource to conserve, trees or water?

Obviously both are important, but is one more vital than the other?

I'm going to have to say, save the trees.
Wouldn't that be the most sensible answer. I mean isn't water an everlasting natural resource. The rain, the earth and the air.
And as for the trees, there's just human kind to ruin it's chances of ever surviving. I mean look at Tane-Mahuta (the oldest, tallest and largest native New Zealand tree), if it wasn't as old as it is and it being protected by government and maori protocol, then some bastard would've cut that down ages ago.

Everything about natural resource conservation is important be it water or trees or anything else, the whole ECO cycle is important for us, nothing can be omitted without causing harm to the other. So basically we are dependant upon the whole cycle and all of it is the most important to us, nothing more and nothing less. They are nothing, one without the other or are they ? So both are as important as the other.

Trees have thier own water..that's how they live...so I think that trees would be more important b/c they could provide water and food (animals live in the roots) and provide air.

WELL CONCIDER THE FACT THAT TREES USE WATER AND IN TURN PRODUCE OXYGEN....AND THEN TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT THE HUMAN BODY IS MADE UP MOSTLY OF WATER AND MANY OTHER FORMS SUCH AS ROCKS AND DIRT CAN HOLD THOUSANDS OF GALLONS OF WATER....TREES ARE DEFINTELY THE #1 FOR WITHOUT THEM WE WOULD CERTAINLY DIE....WATER HOWEVER WOULD BE EASILY PROCURED FROM OTHER SOURCES...AND LETS BE FRANK THERE IS ALWAYS BEER!!!!
