i think he is a good choice for one day matches whereas for tests Mohamed Yousuf should be made as captain.

I think it was a best choice to make Shohaib Malik to make captain of Pakistan Team as he is too young and he may not be able to handle the senior players in the team effectively. The best choice should have been Mohd. Yusuf

i think it was a bad choice to make shohaib malik the captain of the team, they should have made some1 with more experience and some1 who has been on the team for more longer. some1 like mohammed yousuf or Younis khan. inzamam was a decent captain but picking shohaib malik to be the next captain is a mistake.

When Younis Khan declined to take up the mantle and the authorities were not inclined to try another senior in Mohd.Yousuf, they have gone in for Shoaib Malik as the captain on a long term planning basis. Not a bad idea.With time, exposure and maturity he may become a good captain. Best of luck for him.

Shoaib Malik is still undcovered as a captain.....So it would too early to predict whether he would be good or not...but i think he is the only choice left with PCB and i hope it would work......for Suleman butt, so even he is junior !.....i think it does not matter much the junior and senior thing in captaincy and the example is that of Smith leading South Afirca....i wish Shoaib malik would also do his best and should prove him Smith like captain for Pakistan! we can just hope !! let wait for the time !!

Many question were raised when Graeme Smith was named the captain of SA but I believe he's developed into a great leader and it was just the passage of time which taught him every thing in this game of cricket. I think the board has made a wise decision and Shoaib has the talent and experience of captaincy as he has captained his side in domestic matches. Pakistan need a young man to lead the side as by and by he will learn the ropes and will be able to serve Pakistan cricket for a long time.

No no. Shoaib Malik is the only person in form in Pakistan. He is a developing youngster of the team. But younis khan also could have been given the captaincy. but shoaib malik is not a bad choice.

There is not much that Malik has not done on a cricket field. He has remarkable adaptability; Test opener one day to middle-order battler next; one-down ODI organiser today, lower-order slogger tomorrow; he has been re-invented many times. Most of it he has done with minimum fuss and due efficiency, some of it outstandingly well. He now has another role to fill. It is, by a country mile, the most challenging one yet.

Well nobody could say,
What i mean is not every good player is a good captain and vise versa. For example, take Brian lara, he's a good batsman but couldn't prove to be a good captain.
So, what i say is to give shoaib a chance and see.
