Are you bored?

My life is somewhat different because I am disabled and so is my wife. I am happy emotionally and extremely happily married. The scary thing is that I don't know what is going to happen with my body in the next few years and that is scary. Therefore, I feel sort of in limbo. I just try to get through each day the best I can and find joy in each day. I don't know what the future holds, but I am happy for each new day I am given.

I just retired after nearly 40 years as an antiquarian bookseller which was the most amazingly satisfying occupation I could have had. Now I have "nothing" to do, so I find myself doing a whole lot of reading, which I do obviously like to do, and trying not to watch too much TV. So far I wouldn't say I'm bored.....yet. Hopefully I'll be able to fit periods of travel in between stay-at-home times to get some variety in my life.
Am I pleased to be me? Not completely, but then I would think everyone would have that answer. I have a very quick temper that I really really wish I could control. Other than that I think I'm an okay 66 year old guy.

As I believe very strongly that we create our own paths, I can say that the future looks very bright for me. I made a huge life change a year ago, and having now settled in my new home and lifestyle, I gotta say, its great! The decision to make the change was a tough one, as it required leaving behind my entire life...friends, family, home, pets...but I looked at it as an adventure. And what an adventure it has been. The greatest of my lifetime, and filled with so much more than I could possibly have imagined. And quite frankly, I have become the best self I've ever been.
So yes, I'm REALLY pleased to be me! Thanks for asking!
