now the most up to date version is direct x 9.0c,but what i heard from my friend is that direct x9.1 is out now,is that true?

The newest version is Direct X 10, but you can only use it if you have Vista. If you still have XP or older, then 9.0c is the most up to date version.

Never heard of it. But there is DX9.0c april edition I think.
