I appreciate your interest towards English.
Few steps I suggest is:
1. Read English newspapers & magazines.
2. Give your own meaning to words you don't know and then turn the dictionary.
3. Try to watch English news, movies, etc...
4. Speak in English no matter if you make mistakes.
(By mistakes we Learn but don't repeat the same mistake)
5. Imagine something an try to put in your own words.
All the Best.

The absolute best way to learn any language is to immerse yourself in the language. That means you should live somewhere like the U.S. or the U.K., if possible, and hang out with the natives.
You didn't mention if you live in a non-English speaking country or if you are living in an English speaking country. In either case, you could try to study with an English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tutor. If you're in the U.S. (and probably other places), you can find a tutor on craigslist.org under the "Lessons" category. Of course, working with a private tutor costs money.
If you are living in an English-speaking country, some areas have organizations that match native English speakers with ESL speakers so that the non-native speaker can practice his or her English. This is usually free, however, the native speaker is usually not a trained English teacher.

If you have the possibility to relate with more english speakers you will overcome the situation. If you do not live in an english speaking country, make friends online and even call them, you can also try to take tours with foreign english speakers as well so you can pick up the real conversation.
The practice makes the master.
Good luck.

In addition to speaking more often with English speaking people in different situations, if you have access to tv and radio shows, listening and repeating what you hear will also help.
Did a search for 'practice speaking English' and found the following sites:
* has a listening and speaking room:
http://www.englishjobmaze.com/english_maze/practicespeakingenglish.htm
* this one is one geared to Chinese students of English but it has some comments you may find helpful and relevant:
http://www.amityfoundation.org/page.php?page=1432
Good luck with practicing and have FUN!
Angela.

No one has suggested reading out loud.
Get books at your level of understanding and read them out loud. Even try into a tape recorder to hear yourself and find out if there are a couple of consonants that you stumble over.
Maybe the /str/ sound is hard for your mouth/tongue, or the /ch/ sound. Once you are able to analyse the problems you can improve.
