Why is this going on under a DEMOCRAT governor? Do Dems love to get innocent people killed?

Why is VA Known for its lax enforcement of its own gun laws??

"Virginia is a key source for illegal guns along the East Coast, as well as a target of gun control activists for lax enforcement of its laws,..."

It's great when we pass laws then DEM Governors let their states become known for lax enforcement of THE LAW.

Dems will screw up anything

Balsab... you ought to learn to read. There was an article cited that said Virginia is known for its LAX enforcement of its OWN laws.

Come on DUCK. Get your head out in the sun light. VIRGINIA is not lax in it's enforcement of it's gun laws.

Go back to bed for a few hours and get your head screwed on right before making yourself look like a duffus. Republican here and here to tell you... get a life.

Edit: junglejo I don't care what the article said! Does that make it right? I know VA law and I know people in VA that own gun shops and sell guns. I've bought guns in VA. In the case of VT no laws were broken by the gun shop owner. The system was broke at the point of where data was intered. IE: data was not entered about Cho's illness. And the Gov. (DEM) of Virginia is working on correcting that problem. The Gov. has no blame or dog in this race. Republican here!

junglejo, I read very well. in above article: P 2 Line 1 "With a credit card and a lie..." There was no lie involved in Cho getting his gun...all proper paper work was filled out...

P 2 Line 3: "The state's back ground check failed to turn up his history of mental illness in each of the two sales." No fault of the Gov or Dems.

Further why don't you read the last paragraph that is if you to know how to read.

The whole country is not that different from Virginia.

The laws were in place long before now.

They are investigating, but as far as I can tell, the gun dealer(s) followed the laws.

The problem is with the under-funded mental health system, not with the gun laws.

In fact, if everyone had guns, Cho would maybe have killed a couple people only and then people would have shot Cho.

You've now posted this question four times. Quit spamming the community.

My same answer -

That would be because the laws passed by Republicans with the force of the NRA behind it were intentionally so riddled with loopholes as to make any provisions unenforceable, and any attempts to close the loopholes were met with smears like yours.

Nice try, but Cho's ability to buy the gun is EXACTLY what the right wing and the NRA has fought so hard to maintain.

They'd rather that he be able to get a gun and kill over 30 people than have to go through the inconvenience of a REAL background check, training/education requirements and waiting periods.

Go Virginia, I do not beleive in the illegal selling of any thing but like anything it happens averywhere. My point is the people of VA run the state, not the Gov. or the Dems.. It is a great State to live in from the ocean to the mountains. Your comment/guestion shows that.

i dont know, but its not their fault that Cho wanted attention and had to do it in a tragic way. if he couldn't buy a gun in VA than he would have found another way to buy it. the boy was sick!
