Ellen is getting popular because she doesn't have an agenda. She really get down to earth and talks with her guests and audiences. She doesn't try to make the show about her and she doesn't do the "political" thing. I think too, people are sick of Opra and everyone hates Rosie, so Ellen has become the traditional talk show so curious people can actually see the guests and get to know them as a person. There's no opinionated person waiting to target the guests and Ellen doesn't fluff issues -- she is there to make the guests and her show as entertaining as her audience wants. Way to go -- Ellen.

because she's still so down to earth and a human being, unlike someone from the view we won't mention.
Ellen makes every single person feel special in that audience and she's even able to do it for people at home with her letters & phone calls (Gladys comes to mind)
Sides, Ellen is funny as hell and she doesn't use her celebrity status to open her yap like that person from the view I won't mention

Because her show is great. She is a genuinely nice person and she doesn't try to shove her politics on others. She knows her place as a celebrity and she Entertains - that is what celebrities should do. I wish others on tv would take note of her popularity and take note.

Everyone said it spot on....she is a true, real individual who tries to get everyone involved in her show and make people laugh. She has nothing to prove to anyone. She is who she is. Just a good person making people happy each day. How can you not love her?

i dont think she is funny at all.i have watched her talkshow during channel flipping.she says things that arent funny and the audience laughs -i think they are being forced to laugh:)
