Yes, it is.

Well she was a nurse (you know what they're like), plus she was always surrounded by all those sex-starved convalescing soldiers, plus she was witness to the horrors of war which may have understandably f***ed her head up in some ways, so it really shouldn't c-um as a surprise, or seem highly unlikely that she was a manic, nympho, clit-flicker.

No one can be absolutely sure, but rumour has it that Florence Nightingale may have been a lesbian.

She is best remembered as the lady with the lamp at the Crimea where she organised the first ever military field hospitals and took considerable care of the wounded soldiers, many of whom would not recover from their wounds, as would so easily be the case today.

Florence Nightingale was still around in the early 20th century. I'm not sure the year she died but she was very old when she finally did die, 90-something.

I actually knew someone in the 1960s, then a man of 108, who had actually seen Florence Nightingale in real life when he was much younger, back in the late 19th century. His father had been at the Crimea and his grandfather at Waterloo. Blimey, how time flies when you live for such a long time...!!

By all accounts Florence Nightingale was a articulate woman and opened to social awareness. But look up the information on her biog.

There has been *some* speculation the last few years about her being lesbian, or a chronic masturbator. But nothing substantial.
