Hi Jeff,

Well I guess that depends on how you view life. Some people are terrified of change; others welcome it and or actively seek it out. Some older gay gentlemen I've met can be very jaded and they go on about younger gay men: their clothes, their style, their habits and mannerism, their naivete. Yes, youth are inexperienced but that's because they have not lived as long a life as someone older: just because a person has not had a wealth of experiences to draw upon does not mean that their views are invalid. Some youth are "mature" for their age; some kids do have a level head on their shoulders. Ya some don't but then I've met many an "adult" that is not so level headed either. To me, if I hear something that makes me stop and think, a perspective, an opinion, that's a good thing! Yes, I take into account the source but I don't dismiss it simply because it was stated by someone younger.

Cheers.

I have a teenaged daughter (17) and I learn stuff from her constantly.

I think we can learn from people of any age if we are open to seeing the world through their eyes.

I find if I listen, I learn more from under 30's than over (and I'm over) Lots of wisdom and great, imaginative input there if you give em half a chance :-)

I'm 30.

I've had a 19 year old lover recently teach me the virtue of *enjoying the moment* and not to add meaning to every little thing I do. Valueable life lessons, I think.

I've had a 37 year old lover teach me the value of respecting myself first. Very valueable life lesson, too.

It's not really the lessons you learn in life or who you learn them from, but HOW YOU APPLY THOSE LESSONS IN ADDING QUALITY TO YOUR LIFE that counts!

You have to listen, observe and learn from others, otherwise you stay stagnant, your mind is closed. It doesn't hurt to listen, it hurts more when you should have listened and you didn't.
