i am new to linux os, when i click on the cdrom i get the response 'associate application', how can i fix this problem

the installed linux is fedora core (6),when cdrom is clicked the response it gives is 'associate application to the cdrom'
what can i do to open cdrom

Go to boot menu and change the BIOS, go to boot option and change. like first of execute cd rom then other.

In linux (you didn't tell us what Linux you use), like in Windows, you need a program to write files to CD.

Look for them in your program listings

check if the cd is mounted or try mounting it manually .
