I'm just wondering as to why it isn't running in DDR400 speed being that they are all of the same speed and brand. CPU-Z says that they are in dual channel and that they are running at 200 MHZ

Thank you for your answers. I currently have them in 1-512-1-512. If I do them in 1-1-512-512 then it will recognize it as single channel. When I run 1gb-nothing-1gb-nothing it reports Dual Channel @ 400. I'm guessing that because they're difference CAS Latencies that it is throwing it off. Pretty much I have to choose between 3 GB dual channel @ 333, or 2 GB dual channel @ 400...not quite sure which is better being that I use Adobe Photoshop and that is a memory HOG.

have you tried to pair a 1 to a 512
the asus MB that I have has to primary ports and to slave set up in this pattern

1:512 1:512

When I have a gig in the primary and the 512 in the slave it runs faster up.
I know they say that it should work that way but it does for mine. I guess try that.

If not then you need to have the gigs on one set and the 512's on the other

1:1 512:512
