ok If im excellent 4x^2=8 you in basic terms would desire to flow the 4 to the different side dividing and in basic terms take the sq. root of the two facets. So first is like x^2=8/4 and eight/4 is two so what you have left is x^2=2. Then in basic terms get the sq. root of the two facets to cancel de exponent. So your very final answer is x= sq. root(2). once you're in seek of intercepts you in basic terms replace x and y for cero to locate the intercept. So for x intercept you're making y=0. and because you understand y=f(x) in basic terms replace y for cero. Oh we already solved it :) so which you notice isn't that complicated!

First do
4x/2
which will become
2x
than do
8/2
which will become

So your answer is
2x+4
