Venice is a glorious cliché, more romantic, more beautiful and more astonishing than you might expect. No matter exactly how many photographs or shows you might have seen, it is however a jaw-dropping knowledge seeing Venice's canals and palaces for initially and that you'd do with assistance from this site hotelbye . Certainly Venice's best-known church and one of the very quickly recognized in the world is St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco). This basilica was initially the Doge's personal chapel, furnished with Byzantine art treasures that are part of the booty brought back by Venetian ships following the fall of Constantinople. The gold-backed mosaic pictures over the gates on the façade just touch at the mosaic beauty inside, wherever 4,240 square yards of gold mosaics protect the walls. Therefore, the St. Mark`s Basilica is a place worth visited.

In my opinion, Mestre could be anywhere - it is nothing like Venice (or the other islands). I guess you will want to immerse yourself in the exquisite 'feel' of Venice for as long as possible, so I recommend Murano as a good base. Lido is more orientated towards its beaches. I have found that a hotel in Venice is not as expensive as you might think once you have accounted for travelling expenses. Also it was convenient for me to be able to pop back to my hotel at any time for a rest! Remember that you will be doing a lot of walking. I have no doubt that you will find Venice a delightful place.

You need to give more information? What do you want to know about the Lido? It is a lot bigger than other islands in Venice and cars and buses drive on it. It's very pretty with a lovely beach and can be reached very easily from Venice itself by waterbus.
