Just to note: I exercise daily for 40 minutes and I take Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) & I even take Prozac 20mg because I get so depressed during that time of the month and I also take Dong Quai. Is there anything else I can do?

Another thing you could try is taking B6. You can take it thru a bottle by itself or as part of a bottle of B Complex. It is very good for helping mood issues such as at PMS time.

Check with your dr too to see if this would be something ok for you to take because of the medication you are on.

There are number of conventional therapies that help in a percentage of women. Vitamin B6 taken daily is said to help 70% of women, however the dose you need is much higher than the over the counter maximum and needs to be prescribed.

Either progesterones, usually norithisterone orally or via the Mirena coil are quite successful, or the combined pill. None of these are any use if you are also trying to conceive.

Evening primrose, epogram, or its active chemical gamolenic acid only help the mastalgia ( breast discomfort) but appear to have no effect on the other PMS symptoms.

Prozac was used and did have a licence for PMS, it did work for some patients, but its PMS license was removed some years ago. it was felt that the risk benefit ratio made it unjustified to use it.

Find all the stuff that will keep you happy and settle down for the wait,
Worn the husband and kids the next few days will be up and down and then sit it out.
With any luck all around you will take over and spoil you till it's over.
