(...Great Question! You really made me think! :-)...)

YES! - but it's an and/or evolution.

Love and denial sometimes start in equal measures, one being an attempt to counter-balance the other. The power of love (good song title?? lol) can knock us senseless: denial's our try at keeping some semblance of control over our fate. Eventually, though, one of these will erode the other: so, in the end, we are left with love or denial.

If love is counterfeit - that is, if it's actually not love, but infatuation - denial wins and becomes reality. If love is love and lasting, it casts away denial. Real love is more obdurate than its oft-accompanied denial - and more stubborn than stubbornness, too.

Yes, the timing wasn't good. I was only there for two days and our time was entirely taken up with meetings and such. I only got to talk to her twice, but I fell totally in love with her and we did find a couple of hours to spend together and then we parted, she to her family and me to my emptyness. For months I could not comprehend what had happened and why I should never try to contact her. Never did, and I still think of her.

Never!! or Everytime!!! Love and Denial are emotions. As
Humans we can't do two emotions at one time. We just can't.
I can love you ,but I can't deny my love for you at the same time. We have one emotion then another. Our emotions can be swayed by another person. Wisdom comes with age.
Untill then we just do the best we can.
