It depends on what type of voice you have, what sort of audition it is and what type of music you like. You could try Twist N Shout though i don't know who sings it or something by the Commitments like Mustang Sally or Take me to the River. These songs or something similar will show off your range and put a bit of rock/groove into your audition. The best advice i can give you is don't think of it as an audition. Approach it like it's a performance or like your singing in the shower, whatever works best to relieve the tension.

Depends on what it's for. If you have an idea than it may help to lean to that category. If not, make sure it's something that shows your range and you abilities without making you go to the extreme, to the point of maybe not being at your best. Maybe not risking it all the first time is safer and may get the second audition. Folks that know you are probably more able to advise you than total strangers. Good luck. May God be with you and get you the part! Break a leg!

I'd be better to ask someone who's actually heard you sing. It's all right to get an opinion from an online source, but without actually hearing your range and tone, it'd be difficult for any of us to pick out a song for you.

My advice is ask a choir instructor, or someone who gives lessons. Also look for something that demonstrates what you can do with your voice.

Stick to a musical number, but don't sing something that has you sounding like the original artist. Try songs from 'Rent' because of the more modern flair to vocals.
