Australia in the semi - finals? Also, do you think Sri Lanka will have it easy with New Zealand as they battle out on the 25th April to reach the finals?
What are your thoughts about these teams up to this stage of the tournament??

they have a very good chance! as an australian cricket fan, id just like to point out that we really arent invinciable, albeit the favourites.
the south african batting lineup has so much depth, and (on its day) can be very potent. kallis and smith especially have shown that they can perform to ridiculously high standards at any level of cricket.
to win, i think south africa need to have us in first on a sticky wicket, finish us off for a scrapping 250 or so, and have a bat on a drying wicket.. could happen..
another reason australia beats so many teams so easily is because of the psychological edge they have. to me, this isnt so present against south africa, who have shown that they can match the cold cruelty of the australians with flowing and passionate cricket.. this may be they key too.
having said that, i think australia will probably win. id give the south africans a 30-40% chance of winning.
as for NZvSL, i think the result MAY depend on injuries. sri lanka will want to get rid of fleming, taylor and fulton to ensure that they are always within reach, but then again, that could well be done.
i also tend to think that sri lanka maybe wont rise to the occasion like they might, and could be outfought by a more desperate team and united team. id say theres nothing REALLY between the two teams, each has a good chance of winning (the kiwis will win though ;) )

Though Australia is the only unbeaten team in this world cup, after initial failures South Africa have come back strongly and as such I feel that law of average will go against Australia dn South Africa will win the semi final against them.
As far as the semi final between Sri Lanka and New Zeland are concerned, there is nothing much to differentiate these teame as both are very good teams. Since Sri Lanka have already defeated New Zeland in Super 8 Match they will be more confident when they meet New Zeland in the semi final.. However, having tasted defeat at the hand of Sri Lanka earlier, New Zeland will be well prepared and fight hard to level the score with Sri Lanka and are more likely to win.

Sri Lanka has a very good chance to win this world cup.
They have come to play the semi finals with a good strategic plan. So far so good.
They will have the best weapons in the semi agaist the New sealand and It's hard to beat with such a talent.
On the other hand South africans have become the favourites in their semi final against Aussies after they beat england with stunning performance.
My prediction is that Sri Lanka will meet South Africans in the finals.

they are rockers.....atleast they are damn passionate about the game and plays it in the best of spirits.here in india it is difficult to support any other team other than ind but for sheer talent i have to root for rsa their chances against aus is actually strong because they are equally or sometimes better than them..sa has class acts in the likes of polloooooock,skipper smith and ntini to match the ozzies cuz there is also the new super hero ab baby

its not an easy job for RSA but there will be smthing that RSA will be thinking that if they win they will win the WC final and the last match wud be a semi- phinal

I really wished that South Africa had won the cup but they just couldnt get into the game with the ussies
