but my Local Area Connection..is connected..and moving..
help me!..i juz wana noe why its not moving..1394 connection??

your 1394 connection is the firewire port on your computer.

The reason why you are not seeing activity on it is because you dont have a connection plugged into it. Plug you camera into your firewire port and download some pics from it, you will see the send/rec move then.

Well for one I can guess is because there isn't anything connected to it. The 1394 is also known as Firewire. You would have to connect a firewire port on one machine and connect it to another machine and firewire port to create a network, but even then it really isn't the easy. I think you might even need some kind of device in between to make it work.

So basically even though Windows XP creates a 1394 Connection in the network connections whenever it sees the 1394 hardware it is pretty much useless. Just ignore it or you can even disable it if you like.

Firewire is still used for things like video cameras and such, but I don't think anyone really uses it as a network connection these days, even though at one time people thought it might be a good idea.
