By your logic, whether you have a gun or not, someone else can decide you shouldn't live any longer, for any reason, and away you will go, dead, whether God wanted you dead or not.
That would be against His will, and that's not going to happen.
I can't understand the problem some people have with the fact we're talking about the God of all creation here. We are not equal with Him. God is in charge, He knows what needs to happen, for the good of all, whether we understand it at the time, or ever.
If God wills something to happen or not happen, it will be so, whether we like or understand it at the time, or ever.

Not everyone believes in predestination. The purpose of free will is to let people make their own decisions. If a person decides to open fire in a store and kills a lot of people, then it was THAT PERSON'S plan, not God's.
Also, killing in self-defense is actually not against the Bible.

Self defence is never wrong. Throughout the bible there are examples of people killing for the glory of God. David and Goliath is just one of many examples of the kind of killing that God is totally fine with.

as you said, how do you know, How do you know it even to be self defense, how do you or anyone know what God is doing, God moves in mysterious ways, so any perverbial shooter, could be doing the will of God, and it might not be the will of God for said shooter to be then killed, explain the will of God? were the people who stoned the Apostle Steven to death, doing God,s will? has God made provision for so many murderers to find refuge in other coutries, and Cain, what of him? this gives me cause to think, that the Love and Wisdom of God goes beyond human understanding and comprehension was Hitler a bad guy, or someone doing the 'Will of God? please try not to construe this as an anti semetic expression or prejudice, it is not said in such a context, Hitler seemed to shall we say, :fill a need< please do not consider this a crass remark either, it is said without malice for anyone, please, keep it in its context did the christians resist when they were in the areanas? explain the difference, then or now, /God does not need to pay attention to society or limits, or rules, even in the context of His commandments, He is the One who brought the Ten Commandments, He can destroy both soul and body in Hell if He perfers, who are we to determine how He takes people to their respectful places, the methods are His to determine?>???? yes????? i do not specifically condone violence, i do not understand it, i cannot explain it, the world is too big and God is too big for me to comphrehend, we are all in darkness here, all of us, again i am not of the mind to allow everyone who commits violent crimes to go free, but in the final decision, look at Clarence Darrow, did he do God.s will saving those boys years ago? look at David Berkowitz, i believe he became a serious christian who God honors, as there are many who God honors, who are in prison, i cannot explain these shootings and crimes, i can only ask God for understanding

God's logic does not pertain to man's logic..as God sees the big picture..even you killing someone is in God's plan..even taking your own life would be pre ordained by God..we are not the rulers of our universe..sorry to say..we just follow God's lead...but I would shoot that SOB who ran into a store if he was taking a life or threatening mine..but since I don't carry a gun..this is just an academic question...do you pack a rod? well, its academinc//right?

It is ok to kill him - as long as it wasn't premeditated and it was an act of self defence and the defence of others... if you had a gun in the store - then that, to me, is premeditated... why have it there if you are never going to use it?
Giving him a damn good beating is probably safer in the courts eyes though :)

i'm not sure why you think that if someone is shooting at people (especially innocent people) that you cannot kill them in order to stop him/her.
I don't know about the whole god's will thing...i don't think you are the most qualified person to decide what god's will incompasses...but if someone is randomly shooting people...i give you permission to stop him/her.
