..... Doing something with that knowledge !
for example : if you "know" the enemy cannot fight on water or is not as strong on the water, as they are on land...... then with that "knowledge", you can make your assault on them strongest on the water... thus hoping to have the advantage and win the battle.

Knowing if half the battle for the adept strategist knows his opponent, knows his own strengths and weaknesses, and knows the plans of action. There is so much you need to know for a successful victory. But the other half is actually fighting the battle obviously. Otherwise there is little point in knowing what to do lol. Accepting what is true.
Or using the knowledge against the enemy.
Or realizing you can never win.
Or having a series of battle plans thought out well in advance so you don't get caught off guard.
I read a lot of Asian military books. Best of luck to you!!

Knowing vs. Doing.
If you are sick of losing battles, then you need to change your strategy (game plan). And then DO something about it.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!!
I suppose it would be initiative.
Experience is what I was thinking, but that could fall under knowledge.
So, know how to kick ***, then take the initiative to do so!
