Hi - I am 21 - I have been depressed for a while but it has gotten MUCH worse lately - the worst i have ever felt in my life. I just started on Wellbutrin SR on 4/20 - 100mg one time a day. Today I slept all day and I am still tired - small things make me want to start to cry (and i usually never cry) - This is starting to drive me crazy - I can't even function - what can i do in the meantime before the meds kick in? I am already in therapy - but any advice would be great....I just feel hopeless...

Serious answers would be great.

thank you

just go jogging outside. I love to go jogging. I just forget about the whole world around me and all the troubles. It feels great you should go for at least 30 min.

Wellbutrin takes a while to work... maybe up to a week or two before full effects. Effexor would be better.

Quit thinking about how bad you feel and sleep all you want. Watch TV and don't think about "yourself" think about those people on TV. Don't think about friends and relatives.

If you are up when it is daylight... take a walk down the street. Don't lift your head up and put on a big smile, just simply walk. You'll be surprised how much better you will feel.

BTW, those pills are very, very, minor. Guess what... it is the only drug that the FDA approve to have two different names.

It's the exact same thing as Zyban. The quit smoking drug. So ignore all these nuts from the Church of Scientology that think they know what they are talking about.

For right now, what you really need is to talk to someone on the phone. Get on some chat service and simply say that you are depressed and you want to talk to a guy around your same age. Then get his number and call him. Learn about him and let him learn about you. Talking helps a lot and the opposite sex is better because you two can flirt. It gets your mind off serous stuff.

Hey girl just have patience, when these meds start to kick in you'll forget having even asked this question. In the mean time try and be active. Pick a sport you like and go at it. Also go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day. And most importantlly seek solace in your friends! Good luck and hang in there.

Anti-depressants ususally take about 3 weeks to kick in so hopefeully you should start feeling the benefit any day no. If there's no improvement in a weeks time, I would get back to your doctor.

my friend,you are alive!
Be sure that you are the only person that can help you the most.medication will help you but you can help the medication to be more effective and act fast.
you are alive so you are happy so you are lucky so you are the best.life is a great chance for you.you can go walking; watch the people around yourself and many beautiful trees, flowers,....make yourself happy by everything and be sure that everything is beautiful.

Please consider visiting the following website: http://joy2meu.com/index.html. I have spent many hours studying this website, along with the literature offered there. I also, am currently engaged in telephone counseling with the author. It has done me a world of good, in very short order. The solution to all our problems, difficulties, depression etc., lies within us, not in a pharmaceutical.

Should you elect to explore this website, feed back, would be greatly appreciated.

The best thing to do to temporally fight depression is find something that you like to do and just don't stop doing it. Just make yourself get up and do something that you will enjoy

please stop taking those pills. maybe help with therapists/counsuelers would be much safer than pills. maybe even your most trustworthy friend or family member to talk to about. those pills sound kinda dangerous!!
