about an english kid( british actor Jack Wild) aka:artful dodger from the musical film Oliver, and his talking flute, sort of like a psychedelic wizard of oz, but all the characters were puppets and the only humans were the kid and the witch? It was on tv from 1969 to 1970, crazy show.

I remember it. It was a show that was produced by Sid and Marty Krofft. I especially like the "Land of the Lost" episodes every week where the dad, a son and daughter were back in dinosaur times. They were always in danger of the green and lanky lizard-like creatures, the Sleestaks. Jack Wild died a little over a year ago at age 53 of mouth cancer.

Yes. It was one of my favorites. Uhg but it came on at 6:00am every Saturday morning but I managed to make myself get up and watch it...lol Then I would go back to sleep and wait for Bugs Bunny to come on...lol I'd usually fall asleep watching the show that came on right after Puff N Stuff where the kid falls inside the big magic hat...lol I forgot what it was called though...
Anyway, I forgot which cereal it was but I saved up 4 proofs of purchase and a couple bucks and sent off for my very own 'Freddy, The Magic Flute'...LOL! It was soooooo awesome!

Yes I saw it as a child. The Kroffts swear there were no drugs involved.
