Its politically incorrect to say countries hate America so i'll say, the reason that so many countries have conflicting views with the US is all the stupid wars on terror, now i know that most of the US is against that, but there it is. The troops that kill all those civilians are the only types of Americans the world sees. And lets not forget good old George Bush, he helped, i must say, his hypocritical policies sure helped a lot.

I think your thoughts that other countries hate america are mis-guided or wrong. Where did you get this information or this idea? Look at the mexicans clamoring to get in. Iraqi school children look at George Washington on dollar bills and say George Bush! with delite. The only countrys I can think of that hate the United States are cuba, venezuela, North Korea, and Iran. Why should we care what the countries that do hate us think? The dictators of these countries teach that hate only for preserving thier own power. They fear and are afraid of what the threat of freedom can do to thier tyranical way of controlling thier people.

honestly, people hate the US period regardless who is the president.
I was last summer in Ireland, UK, and half of europe. people are just jelous. The US is the only country in the world where you can be anyone you want to be without education.they claim that we steal their businesses and infest their markets with our music. I hate to say this but they are not doing anything to help themselves. UK's stores close at 6! Come on!the US should not have helped Europe to rebuild itself after ww2. They should have packed and left europe in june of 45... EU union will collapse soon. A lot of europeans are pissed off at Euro currency. they cannot even agree on the constitution. European economy is not improving yet real estate is going through the roof. Bravo! Brilliant move! My friend who works full time at AmEx in England works her a** off yet shares her apartment with a roomie. This is an average situation. Most people i know in the US, being single working full time live in their own apartments with no roomies.
This should tell you something. SO euros, STFU and fix your own problems.
As far as Canada goes, Canadians, pretty soon you will be part of North American Union. GET OVER IT! Ameros, soon you come better we all be!

Iran, venezuela, cuba and whoever else hates the US. We all know it is all about oil control. Nothing else. Iran is losing foreign investments, They are relying on Russia which is segregating itself from the rest of the world *welcome back, iron gates*. Cuba has nothing except cigars, so they just b*tch to make themselves look important. venezuela has oil.

as a canadian - it's two fold for me

It's Bush definately, the man amazes me on a daily basis.

But more importantly, it's the questions you hear from Americans about Canada. In Canada, we learn so much more about your country that you do about ours and I have met many Americans after working in the tourist industry that just floor me like these..this is no joke

(i worked in a National Park in Alberta)
How many states make up Canada? (we have provinces and territories)
How can I get to Toronto by 9pm (Alberta is only a 3 day drive away from Ontario)
What do you do with the wild animals at nite(oh we lock them up in cages)
Does Canada work on 120V or do I need an adapter to come here? (i can't even comment on that)
Should I change my money somewhere in a US bank? (do you see any US banks in Canada?)


Then you have the Americans that call Canadian money funny money, or monopoly money. Americans that criticise our universal health care system (which is far better than what you've got down there IMHO)

That's what gets me. I know more about the US than some Americans do, yet I get called stupid cause I'm Canadian.

I think the other issue is as well that from my experience, many Americans travelling toother countries portray themselves as superior, just because they are American

My best friend is American and we debate this constantly..she is convinced Canada is one big city and we have no autonomy across the country and can't believe we have 5 pin bowling (she says it's not real bowling), says we're stupid becasue we don't call soda, soda and I could go on and on..

Don't you just hate Americans? Everything about them is so utterly crass, so second-rate – from the sloppy way they dress to their junk food and whinging nasal twang. If only they’d leave us alone. If they are "good" they claim them as theirs, it they are "bad" they are foreigners (or aliens), Charlie Chaplin is a classic example run out of a country that had given it all his life.
