I know this question has been asked before, but I never really payed attention before, (*sigh*) so now I must ask:
1. What are some good websites to watch Japanese movies and tv shows (dramas and things like that) for free?
2. What are some good dramas and movies that you would reccommend? (I recently already watched Water Boys 2 and the TV drama of Densha Otoko)

I only know of gyao.jp, but it's all in Jap. w/out subtitles.
I don't know your likes, but Gokusen, Odoru Dai Sosa Sen (drama and movie), Kyumei Byouto Nijuyoji, Rikon Bengoshi were light and good. Movies: Death Note, Itami Juzo series (Minbo no Onna, Marusa no Onna, etc...), Swing Girls, there's more but this is based on my personal tastes.

Okay Im obsessed with JDorama and Japanese movies, some of them are really silly but there are some good ones out there. Daremo Shiranai is good. Because of that I just hired out "Shining Boy and Little Randy (Hoshi ni natta shounen) and Sugar and Spice which feature Yugira Yuuya that main character. Ive been going to Geo and Tsutaya a lot recently (DVD stores) last night I watched "Ima Ai ni yuukimasu "
There are a lot of Dramas, I thought My Boss/My Hero was cool, and the main character is the singer from Tokio so that was cool. Water Boys and Densha Otoko are good but they are both from the light drama genre, what kind of films are you into, did you want some light humor or some deep moving stuff, action etc.
If there are not many japanese movies from where you are from do you have any chinese friends? They are bound to have some japanese dramas somewhere.

you can go to crunchyroll.com for a free account and watch tons of dramas the prob is i think they recently put a limit on how much you can watch a day now. unless of course you donate some money

As far as I know this is the only one site we can watch movies free of charge. This is a Japanese site but you have no problem with reading Japanese.

My recommendation is old ones. Any movie directed by Ozu Yasujiro is my lifetime favorite.

Kira Kira Hikari was a great drama IMO. I like just about any Miike Takashi film, from the comedies to the yakuza flicks. "Zebraman" and "Full-Metal Gokudo" were a hoot.

Don't know of any web sites.
Your local video store may have a copy of "The Seven Samurai." It is the movie that "The Magnificent Seven" is based upon.
