Would you speak up if you saw someone hitting another person, or would you walk on by in fear of them turning their wrath on you?

I was at an intersection when I saw a woman getting hit and kicked by a man as her small child stood there in horror crying. I got out of my car and ran over, turned out it was her husband. I stood in front of her, shielding her, and he stopped . No one else helped her, or even tried until they saw me doing it. All of the sudden men came out of no where with bats and fists in the air, knocking this guy to the ground. The rage and violence was unbelievable, both mother and son were screaming while they watched him being beat. It was sad and unnecessary at that point.

well. ive seen fights happen. i wouldnt get involved if both people were actually consenting to the fight. If some one was being bullied though, I definately would stand up for them. Or at least i'd try to find a way to make them stop as long as im not risking my life =| and depending on how serious it is...

If I was drinking, I'd certainly start spouting off at the mouth. If I was sober, it would depend on my mood and whether or not it looked like two people just duking it out. Sometimes it's best not to say anything and let people go on about their business.

i'd speak up, i can handle myself, plus if its a guy and they did hit me i'd just laugh at their *** for hitting a girl. if it was a girl and she got ready to hit me, i'd run away screaming
