Let's say I were to make a television commercial to catch your eye. Which one do you think will get the attention more.
A woman in a scantily clad bikini, with almost impossible dimensions, walks up to a counter with light hitting her almost as if to make her gold and "Let's get it on" was playing in the background, with her walk in slow motion. When she arrives at the counter she asks for a diet coke.
or
A guy runs into a 7/11 and unloads a fully automatic weapon at the clerk, who narrowly avoids the gunfire and reaches for a diet coke. The clerk beams the guy in the face with the diet coke can knocking him out cold. As the camera closes up on the can of soda, you see blood smeared on the side where it jacked up the gunman. Coke then letters up a new slogan, "Kick their teeth in with flavor!"
which do you think would stick in your head more, and which would cause more controversy?

well i personally think the latter is better. it's not violence but more like self-defense? i think we've had too many sex-infused commercials thus, the 7/11 scenario would be pretty cool -- very imaginative and creative. it might give the masses a "huh? wow." feeeling after the commercial as they would expect something more than just that. however it would be rather impossible for the clerk to avoid the gunfire though so u shd try to mk it a little more realistic. a little alterations here n thr and it'll be perfect. lovin' that creative idea of urs. kudos! xxx

We use 2 seeing women in bikini in commericals
It would be more shocking, eye-catching and
controversy 2 see the guy run into 7/11 with automatic
gun. It reminds you of a movie and it's up for
debate because it would be the most talked about!
With all the violence real life (VA Tech)
people would probably rally 2 band it.

How about a guy runs into a 7-11 and unloads his gun, misses and a girl in a bikini walks out of the soda isle with a diet coke, chucks it at him and knocks him out cold. Then walks over and stands over him, grabs the diet coke, opens it, and in a very sexy british acsent says, 'Shaken not stirred' then sucks all the foam off.
Then you get violence AND sex. Both types of ppl are satisfied. LOL

The violence would stick in my head more and it would also cause the most controversy, however the scantily clad woman would sell more coke.

i will make sure not to drink diet coke after seeing either of them. can clearly see they are wasting valueable profits on corny advertisements than making their product better for consumers.
seen toooo many sex, violence commercials to catch my attention. you need to be a little more creative than that.

LOL...Are you serious? Jingles stick to my head more than a short skit commercial, no matter how violent or sexy it is. I tend to turn the station on those type of commercial, but throw in a catchy jingle and I'll listen to it....LOL.
